Ok... Two of the skaters in town can do 360 flips, and they make it look easy, I want to be able to do this trick as well. I can varial flip, however I am not the best at 360 Shoveits, so is that the problem? I have the general idea of how to rotate a 360 flip, and from Fakie Stance I have rotated them a few times before, but its mostly by luck. What is the best technique to doing a 360 flip?

Well, I've never really learned how to do forward backside 360 shove its, because personally, I think they look pretty stupid. I did learn 360 flips, though. First of all, your foot position has a lot to do with it. When I do it, what I'll do is put my back foot covering most of the tail (so I can get a good "sweep" of the tail), and my front foot in kickflip position, except a couple inches closer to the tail then if you were kickflipping. From there, I will sweet my back foot around (behind me, to get the rotation) and kick my front foot out *in front/diagnal from me* to get the flipping part. The reason I do that, is because I spin the board so fast, that if I was to kick my foot backwards, or to the side, it'd be to late (believe me, I've tried that). In the air, your legs should make A Figure 4. Your front foot should be stretched out straight (or almost straight), and your back foot should be sort of tucked under your front foot, almost. Also, when you do all of this motion, unlike a lot of tricks where you want to jump straight up, you need to jump forward a bit (like a varial kickflip), ***uming the board will move a bit...you need to go with it, to land it. Suck your legs up as far as you can get them up there, and stomp it. I did varial kickflips for a long time before I even bothered with these, but they only took a short time to begin landing moving...practice. Good luck.

i have a video of me doing a 360flip, on it you can see how i set my feet up, front foot in the middle and back foot with my toes hanging over the edge of the tail to help scoop it. but since kraan is down i can't show you

most people have their backfoot flat on the board lyke normal - i fynd it easier to just have your toes on and u push down and around faster

Edit: The above thread as merged into this one, because there doesn't need to be a ton of 360 flip threads running around. Anyone who'd like to answer shorty1212's question go for it. I don't feel like answering the question of some kid who is to lazy to use the search feature.

Yeah, LAZY. L-A-Z-Y with a big period at the end. There was another 360 flip thread open already, which happens to be THIS one. You could have easily posted a quick question in here, or even looked through the old threads for a 360 flip post. Shall I call "owned" or will someone else do me the honor?
