i dont slide on a nose slide

well ive been trying these for about a week and i have the same problem over and over again. it started out when i couldnt get all my nose on and id just slip off. but then a friend helped me out by saying go fast, increase youre angle a bit and act like youre going to nose stall. well i tried it and i found out i can only slide if the ledge is waxed all to hell. even then i couldnt slide but a couple of inches. then i tried to go up compleatly paralell to the ledge and i do slide but i dont get anything except part of my nose on before i fall off. what is my problem?

dont go at such an angle, cuz ur getting stuck. its like when u land an ollie and you lean to far foward and u just stop. that, and try to make it flow, its gotta be smooth and natural.

Put all your weight on your nose and stick it hard on the ledge. It sounds wrong but the momentum and weight will move you. Make your your nose is on the ledge fully and not parallel with it, the board will point slightly up if you did it right.

try it with a metal rail first not a curb

A flat and slick surface is usually better for first time nose/tail slides...

go straight about a board length away from the rail or curb or box and very quick turn 90 degrees without using your wheels and put ALOT of weight on your nose

ollie or not..i do them both smooth. i go in a small angle and just lock in to em, the clue is to lean over. it works everytime (doh!)
