i recently recieved a nikon F3 but those photos were taken with my pooey nikon f65 and my zenitar fisheye...that was my first attempt at transparent film which is what all the pros use instead of being negative it's a positive development and the colours are supposed to be better :S i think i did ok :S
if you are in england you may have seen one of those shoe box thingys about?

shoe box thingys? i may have. what do they look like?
i'm looking to get a zenitar fisheye for my pentax, but can't find them any cheaper than £70
blah

they are big and blue and kind of look like the thing he is nose sliding...
i'm shocked...think of it this way stupid people pay 800 quid for a fisheye now zenitar is the cheapest thing that is worthwhile 70 quid is a steal i will be looking to buy a sigma fisheye around christmas time and i know that'll cost me something stupid like 200 quid but the quality in comparison to the zenitar is stupidly good... work your way up the equipment scale the zenitar being the first step. Obviously when your photography starts to surp*** the lens you save for a new one.

oh, the big blue thing, yeah, we had one around here until it got trashed, i got a 5050 on one, they're pretty hard to get onto.
i would slap down the £70 for a zenitar if i had the money, no doubt, but at the moment i'm not sure if i'm going to college or not, so i have to wait till the 20th (thursday) before i can either get a job or sort shit out for college. i was looking on the pentax website, a genuine pentax fisheye hits £2000, and it looks like a friggin lightbulb

yea i'm in that group of people the lucky few waiting a few more days for results to come out bloody sucks.
exactly my point... (2000 who the **** is gonna buy that without winning the lottery!) i would consider scraping together some money as it is a stepping stone which at some time or another you'll probably have to jump to.

yeah, if i get into college (photography course) my parents will hit me up with the lens, they're fully supportive of this stuff, so yeah. i was thinking about one of those £30 fisheye converters but then i saw a picture taken with one and that changed my mind. i also wanna upgrade the body that i have, maybe up to a pz-p1 or something similar, as my P30 doesn't have a PC cord, and i have a pc cord and an extra flash, but blah, so many things i want and so little money

08-16-2003, 09:18 PM
yea i'm exactly the same i'm currently over 250 quid in debt to my parents as they think i have some talent for once so they are pretty supportive and buy me the equipment in advance...I have a list in my mind of what i need but it's doesnt really help me because i owe so much and cant get any of it.
I'm looking into the photography course but where I am apparently its right from the start of photography basics so i'll spend the first few lessons just being the little know it all when the teacher asks stupid questions like "why is there the need for gl*** in a lens?"

haha, i would say i'd be like that but i'm a dumb ****
my parents bought me my camera, 50mm lens, 70-200mm lens, lots of film, filters, flash etc... i should indebted (sp?) to my parents, but they're cool about it, as long as i take alot of photos at family events (weddings and such), so it all evens out... kinda
i need to start taking my camera around more often, it gets left at home way too much now. blah, never mind, i'm gunna go through plenty of film on monday, and then the next tuesday, so that'll be cool

Nice pics. You guys got it good. My parents are supportive of my stuff, but they're not gonna buy me parts anytime soon (I'm talking about my car hobby). If they would, damn, that'd be nice. I know a kid who's parents bought him a $15,000 truck, and have loaned him $5,000'ish to work on it...that's not right. Especially for the fact he's a total ***, who has gotten me into trouble a ton of times, for his stupid shit..

yea i know a few people like that i know this kid and this is no lie..his dad was in The Who and he is ****ing minted and i'm here ****ing paying off my parents off for a bunch of stuff they bought me sacrificing drink for a few months and he waltzes in and gets a ****ing top of the range setup because mummy and daddy thought he needed to progress but i kick his arse at photography and EVERYONE hates his guts because he is an actual bellend but newho i know your pain or at least will in 2 years when i'll be driving at the moment it's buses all the way!!

grrrr
but the good news is, end of this year i'll be driving and earning money (hopefully)
