Anyone here like metallica?
They are by far my favorite band ever!
Their new stuf on st anger isnt that great but everything for "kill em all" to "reload" kicks ass!

I recently saw them in Atlanta at the summer sanitarium tour with linkin park, deftones, mudvayne, and limp bizcit. It kicked so much ass!

Anyway who here thinks metallica is awesome?

mm metallica has many a good song out there... whiskey in the jar, enter sandman and lots others. i approve of em... and the dummer, whatshisface, has one sweet drumset, and expensive metal sticks.

Stuff like enter sandman and whiskey in jar are good but they are nowhere near as good as their classics like:

Seek and destroy
Battery
Master of puppets
One
And justice for all
Blackend
Fade to black
Creeping death
No remorse
and Sad but true

And yes, Lars ulrich's tama starclassic maple kit kicks some serious ass!

As for them playing with linkin park and limp bizcit, it doesnt matter...
I saw them at summer sanitarium tour in atlanta and sat through the pre show of bands and metallica ****ing rocked!
Thats a sign to me that it doesnt matter who the play with, the will allways be metallica!

Metallica is, was and always will be the best band ever. Even if they were on tour with the Backstreet boys. OK, maybe not the Backstreet Boys, but they rule anyway. St. Anger is just a step in the evolution of metallica. Like Load and ReLoad, it's nobody's favorite, but thats ok, cuz as long as they still play their old stuff they kick ass.

I hate St. Anger, no god dam solos. When Metallica was speed/thrash metal they were bad aas. But they said they got so good it was old for them so they made the black album and THAT shit kicked it. Everything after that only had like 1 or 2 songs I liked on the CD :-\

Metallica are getting wannabe-mettalica-wannabe. Let me explain myself.

They started with really good cds, all their cds up to load and reload were pretty much the same style. With load and reload, they were a bit more commercial, but still their content was correct. Then they released a cover cd called Garage inc....that was pathetic...for a couple of years they stopped playing, then they released a song for the MI2 soundtrack...I disapear...and it totally sucked, it wasnt even clost to Metallica. Then some bands tried to emulate them, the WRONG way...like puddle of mudd or other gay commercial wanna bands like that. Then Metallica does a comeback with St.Anger with songs that sound just like Puddle of mudd, and that makes them wannabe-metallica-wannabes. I TOTALLY hated St.Anger, and when I saw them at SS tour, you could see that the spirit in the crowd was really bad when they played frantic and st.anger. I hope they get better :|
