Me new bearings!

Got myself some new bearings :D
Skatelab abec 11 ultra lite alums - they are bloody good i'll tell ya that. Gives some good, smooth rollin. Black - didn't look as good with me wheelsas me old red ones did so i got some new wheels - they're a bit shitty to be honest - piranha - which is like a fake make who are just cashing in on skateboarding as a quick phase to make money - but i like em - but only coz they're pink :P

Fastest I've had are abec 9's but those broke. I've only shattered two sets of Abec 3's and one set fo Abec 9's. Wierd eh? With abec 11's do you do that little jolt when you land off big shit? I hate that with new and fast bearings. Thats why I stick to Abec 7's or 5's. Have you skated your new bearings yet? Let me know how they are.

I've only been out twice with em so far - going out later today-
My griptape needs repacing but i think the speed of the bearings help with my air - i went down one step (a bigger one) without an ollie and got a little air - there was a little jolt - surprised me a little but i stayed on. Only really decent thing i've done so far was a boardslide that i didn't land. Went down a semi steep bank in subway and pressed up a railing wall - was pretty smooth then i bailed after about 1.5ft coz i went real fast. Gona see if i can powerslide with me crappy wheels later.

wow did a cool powerslide coz i can go real fast now - dnt have flats on me wheels coz they're hard but kinda crud on rough surfaces.

Thats kewl force! I have some new seasons abec 15 coming from the flow meister...I usaually run with 7's but i wanna give them atry...doesnt matter what I run with I always bust the crap out of them. Have you ever tried PIG ceramics...those r coming also..they should be sweet..I've never really had a problem with then breaking up to soon.

cool, i'm here with abec 1's :( and they are broken so every time my wheel turns i get a 'jolt' :(

abec rating means nothing when it comes to speed, why do you think that Bones don't use an abec rating on their bearings? Companies have realised that if they have 'Abec 7' on their bearings that people will buy them, it's more like a reason to jack prices up. you will only need bearings that are abec 11 or whatever when used in a machine, such as a bandsaw, on a skateboard it means **** all, speed is determined by how clean and dirt free your bearings are, plus the size of your wheels makes a difference too.

all that the abec rating is, is how well the ball bearings are polished, after a couple hours it's not going to make a difference, i was running abec 1's a year ago, i could keep up with my mates who had like abec 7's and shit, honestly, it makes no difference

I can tell a difference between brand new Abec 3's and brand new Abec 7's. But you're right, after awhile all bearings wear down and become about the same. I just like Abec 7's cuz they tend to last longer and look like they're built stronger.

Honestly, the one thing I look for in bearings is this:

Made in U.S.A.

That means good shit trust me. Girl bearings are made in the US and I've had the same Abec 5 Girl Golds for like shit can't even remember I think 2 months and they run like new. But of course you have to manage your bearings too, I clean and lube mine every Sunday now.
