indys arn't really any heavier then other trucks. Noticably. Your not gonna notice it when you first start at least, and grip doesn't matter.

Independents will last you a long time if they're your first pair of trucks. I don't know what size your wheels are. Or what Abec your bearings are. It's good to pay attention to those two things.

the wheels are 53mm, but not sure what abec the bearings are i think i'm gonna start off on some abec 3's though

i dont like the independent grip tape, my friend has it, get black magic if you want my opinion

NO! donmt get indy's. not the stage 9's anyway, ive had 2 pairs, and 3 of the 4 trucks have cracked. it snapped fully along the middle of the baseplate going across wise. them shits suck, go with tensors or GK or something
