hey i used to be a like person who acted like he was black.. like a rapper. un know and i played some basketball but know i started likin rock and i know i started skateboarding.. ahhh! And linkin park is cool!

i love the sound of people getting kicked in the shins.. peace!

Craig obviously doesnt know his music. Its rock crossed with turntables. Pop involves a lack of drums/bass/guitar or something in there.

Everything you see on TV and hear on the Radio is pretty much pop. Obviously mike doesn't know any music. Music breaks down into two categories.

Mainstream/Pop

Non-mainstream/Underground

Or you could say the two groups are 'Good' and 'Bad' but I forgot who said that, might've been Duke Ellington not sure. I could go into the origins of music and shit but f*ck it.

Heelflip, you're not telling me you actually made a 'change' in your music tastes? You still listen to rap right? If not...shit...

I hate pop music, but I can't agree on that. That would mean Nirvana, metallica, and other radio stuff would be pop. But Linkin Park IS pop and it DOES suck....I don't know why all ex-black-wannabes-that-turned-"rock" like Linkin Park....

Oh yeah I forgot to mention. If you're one of those pop haters then wake up. People in the music industry who are remembered, they are pop. You don't get remembered for being underground. Underground artists probably have more loyal and hardcore fans but when it comes down to it, it's the record sales that make you special. Money makes the world go round'.

money does make the world go round, but when someone says they like whatever band and means it as a fashion statement that sucks major ass.................like wearing flares. anyway, if u look a linkin park without all the antipop hype, u'll realise the their songs have some nice tunes in them

I mean when Nu-Metal first started blowin up, (Limp Bizkit, Korn, Deftones, etc etc.) I was hella into it. But I mean it got old...Now I find myself listenin to old rock most. You know, the Black Sabbath, the Iron Maiden, the Alice Cooper. But now I guess I'm coolin off outta my teenage years. I'm always listenin to chilled out shit like Pink Floyd or The Doors now. Oh well, I like it.

Bah I think if some1 thinks he likes "real" music, and he doesnt know/like the '70s bands (pink floyd, csny, neil young, the doors, the who, led zep, simon and garfunkel, etc...), I don't think he can appreciate it that much...

My feelings exactly snowboarder. Oh yah, Ozzy was the shit back when Randy Rhoads was his guitarist. He's still tight now with Zakk Wylde cuz he's a monster on guitar but Randy had some nice solos.

yes - mainly mainstream is pop - but just sometimes underground 'real' musicians sellout to maybe spread their music round a bit and make more money - and just sometimes - their music stays decent. Linkin Park are just crud though.

Crud means shit. Sorta, but yeah. Underground fans usually hate mainstream artists. Yo lemme ask you this. You have one life on this Earth. Why wouldn't you want to be rich and live the high life??? I sure as hell would go mainstream if I could. I mean if you're doing commericals and shit it's cool as long as it's advertising YOUR shit. Don't do dam Pepsi and Walmart commercials. I'm just sayin.

Who in their right mind wouldn't be a millionaire? **** that sell-out bullshit. They are working, they are gettin money and mansions and shit. What more could you ask for?

Hey doesnt that mean the same for "pop" artists, they also want to be rich and famous, like u sed, who wouldnt. so back to all this pop hating if you think about it a lot of pop is just other genres of music that are in the charts, like a lot of r n b and dance and also a lot of slow songs. So if u think about it pop isnt really a genre and like TOOL also sed, pop obviously stands for popular music, its just a thing that record companies use to make lotsa money on.

Also if this guy likes linkin park let him like them its personal opinion, i personally think they suck but i mean they hav a few good songs from wat iv heard.
