Building a ramp is a big job. If you don't design it right you could end up with an unridable ramp. If its in your yard make sure your neighbors are cool. Cutting the tranny is the first step. If your ramp is to be 4' tall then a 4' tranny will take it to vert. Not a good idea for a mini. I like a 7' tranny. The way to draw your tranny is to cut a piece of string the length you want the tranny to be. Nail or have someone hold one end of the string at the corner of a sheet of ply (3/4" is good) tie a pencil to other end, keeping string tight trace out your transition.
My favorite mini is 5' high and at least 16' wide with a 7' transition.
I'm sure if you search "skateboard ramp plans" at google you will find all you need.
good luck

Tranny 1 - A person that has changed from one sex to the other, commonly considered the scum of the earth
Tranny 2 - A transistion, a curve in a ramp
