For a while now i've been capturing analogue footage at pretty shit quality. My dad brought a capture card home from work to see if the capture card makes a difference. The problem is it captures at the quality I need but not the resolution, meaning I get a bad quality clip at the resultion I want. When i try to increase the resoultion, it refuses it capture. Shall i just give up and buy a digital?

it probably has something to do with your computer. try and buy more memory. a few gigs atleast, unless you have a lot of open space on your HD already.
