Digital 8 or Hi8

well my birthdays in a weeks time and i can either get a sony digital 8 or a hi8 which one should i get. I was gonna get a mini dv but cudnt afford it

i wouldnt get either i'd personally save the money for something a lot better.

but if you're set on getting one, digi 8 is slightly better the only camera worth considering if ur being serious is the vx1000 or anything above that but thats so expensive :(

im probs gonna get the digital 8 cos i had a crappy little camera and i want to try filming wiv a better camera and not spend to much. how much wud i b expectin to pay for a mini dv

i dont know how much digi 8 is but you could probably buy a low end mini dv for under 200 now

no you.... i have a hi8 (218e) and now its worth about 250£ (even though it was lyke 300 when i got it), minidvs cheap for Sony are about 400£

Buy used.... try ebay or some other classified ads.

gotta be wary of ebay though. Get the reviews on the seller first.
