Whats best for photography? Digital or Analogue. Bear in mind that'll be wanting the pics on my comp in the end, but i could use a scanner. I was searching for a wide angle lens for my camcorder when i found this nice olmipus with a flash gun and 3 lenses in my loft probably abiout7 years old though. My mum offered me her digital for £30 as well. So which is better digital or analogue?

First of all... its Digital, 35mm, or Medium Format. Theres no analogue. If you just want to use the pics on your computer you might be better off going digital. But then you have to think of what you using this for and the quality you want.

The new digital SLR's out there with very little shutter lag, high quality, and ability to shoot sequences cost over $2000. If you found an olympus system with lenses and a flash you might be better off starting with that and learning about how to shoot photos. I recommend buying a book about photography to help you learn everything.

If I could have the Nikon D2H with the 10mm lens and an 80-200mm lens... I would get that by all means... except that the setup would cost me $5000. Instead.... I am gradually building up a high quality 35mm setup for half that price.

Those point and shoot digital cameras are pointless... don't even bother with them. The shutter lag is so great that you will miss a lot of shots, there is no creative flash abilities, and the quality is crap.
