It's been five months now, and i can ollie, fs 180, nose stall, and impossible sometimes. I think its strange that i can do impossibles even though i cant kickflip, heelflip, shuvit etc. I don't really focus on landing tricks, i just go out, skate and have fun... and if i land it, i land it. I'm sure i could have landed some more stuff by now if i tried my hardest, but then it wouldn't be fun because i'd just get frusterated.

So back to the topic, am i a slow learner? I surely think so.

Yeah took me a year to learn kickflips, but right after that I started to progress faster but I'm still pretty slow.

I don't think he's doing an imopossible the right way, I mean where it wraps around your foot 'vertically'. I mean I can do that weird funky shit where it's a 360 shuvit but it's just barely touching your foot. But an impossible is f*cking hard. Only met like 6 or 7 people in real life that can do it. This one rasta I used to smoke out with used to do em out of half-pipes and off kickers and shit, it looked so bad aas.

awesome, I think impossibles look so cool... it would be so dam hard to do it out of a halfpipe.

This is what happens as far as the impossible goes, i scoop the tail and wrap it around my foot quickly and it sort of lands right under my feet. It doesnt go perfectly vertical, it is more like a 360 shuvit like you said so i guess its not an impossible then? When i try to get it vertical it smacks my knee.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

It all matters on if you're having fun or not. I'd rather have all my tricks smooth and perfect than have a trick bag full of sketchy ones.

Yes, i know. I just wanted to see what others thought. I would go skate but it's been raining for the past week. I think it's about time to move to the desert.

look, kickflips really aren't used that great deal by pros. True they unlock a lot of tricks but don't spend your life learning them

nah youre not a slow learner....skating is just about having fun and doing things at your own pace...so as long as you're having fun...you cant go wrong

Things have really been picking up lately. I never realized that shuvits could be learned in a half hour if you try. Just the other night i landed my first kickflip. I finally figured out what i was doing wrong i was keeping my shoulders paralel to the board. They needed to be more like 90 degrees with the board. I was watching some blink 182 music video and i saw a guy on the sidewalk do a kickflip and i was like "oh so thats how youre supposed to stand?" and i went out in my driveway and tried it and a half hour later i planted one. What a great feeling. Just last night i almost landed a varial kickflip, i think i could have had it but it was so cold out so i went inside. Im also starting to familiarize myself with bs ollies and heelflips. Its amazing how everything falls together all at once. Good times.
