Going to L.A. and I don't know diddly

Ok, so my aunt that I haven't talked to in forever calls me up yesterday and says that she wants me and my grandma to visit her in Cali in December. I'm like, "Holy junk, I bet there are places to skate there that are a bajillion times better than anywhere here in Upper Michigan!" And when she told me Venice Beach is like ten minutes away from her place, I was ecstatic. But I don't know... I don't want to get busted, and I really don't want to skate by myself if I don't have to. If any of you guys could tell me about the area around there or even offer to show me around if and when I get there, since I'm going for two weeks if I go, that would be tight. That would be super tight and much apreciated. Also, since I'm a nerd on the side, I'm going to GenCon there, which is a big Gaming/Sci-Fi convention. So, if anyone wants to help me out or hang out, that'd be tight.

Is ANYONE from California or knows the area in SoCal? There, that's a little simpler for everyone. Maybe if I was talking about breaking my ass trying to acid drop off my roof instead of actually asking for help I would have gotten more replies. More than I've gotten. Which is none.

Im not from California im from England but since no one has posted here yet id just thought id "break the ice" and from what iv heard and seen there is a lot of good places to skate there, especially Venice beach although i thought it was gone or sumthin......... anyway, yea umm, umm sounds cool have fun skating, meeting lots of pros, your aunt! also if you get busted just say "i do notta speak no engleesh" and they will leave u alone.. maybe...

You guys don't know shit. There are a lot of spots there, but ,ost are blown (unskateable) If I was donw there, I could show you around, but I'm up here in NorCal. But I agree, the chances are, it is better than Upper Michigan. Best bet is to hang out around Venice Beach and look for some locals to befriend. I know about three blocks from Venice Beach there's a nice 11-stair hubba, but I forgot exactly where.

Spend a day on your board and cruise around the city. Find shit for yourself. If its not skateable... make it skateable. Or just find some locals. That works too.

thats what i was gonna say, you dont need our advice...find it for urself, cause basically, no one here knows shit...lol

but, there is prolly alot of skateable spots that not alot of people will tell you about, find em yourself, and they will be like ****ing gold cause no one knows about them...

Who really cares if you have to skate by yourself? If you see some locals go and talk to them. Ask if they want to go skate with you.
