Saying eS

When you say es, do you say the letters es, or say it like a word? This is probably a dumb question, but im very curious, becuz my friend says you say the letters, and my other friend says you say it like a word.

S is the way its pronounced. if it were to be pronounced with both letters there would be a hyphen (-) between them differentiating the sound (e-s) so 'S' is the way it is.

i say eS like "s" because the accent is on the E you say it with a stressed Es type sound... but hey! im not an english teacher.

yeppy-deppy doo, its 'eS (s). but it took me awhile to decide that. i knew a little fruit who called it 'eS, e.s. , or es (pronounced the -e like a long -a), all depending on what he felt like at the time. and osiris is the way you other guys said, like the god, ive never heard it pronounced any other way.

heh, a friend of mine says adio like "audio" and i told him that if it were "audio" it would have a "U" between the A and the D. i told him it was pronounced Add - e - O but he didn't believe me.
