I'm sorry to interrupt your dream, but I never say I hate a kind of music or a groups of persons without actually knowing about it. Rap has degrading lyrics for some people, useless insulting, proning violence and crime, sometimes racist, often sexist...not my kind of music, and it doesnt deserve my respect...maybe yours, not mine....the end.

I think it's time for you to read posts twice so you don't make mistakes "quoting" them after....I didnt say it was the ONLY violent form of music....I said it was PRONING violence, encouraging it...I know there's violence/drugs/sex in most kinds of music, the difference is that rap has it in almost ALL of its songs, while rock/pop/etc.. doesnt use it as a base for writing....and I think I SAID "the end..."

I hate it when ppl say shit about rap being violent/offensive and shit like that. I mean, i think these sorta ppl should just get over it. There's violence in all sorts of music, movies and it's basically all around us.

I could get offended by it cause im female and rappers tend to call women *****es, etc but i dont take offence cause im able to enjoy the music.

I think ppl should look past the violent lyrics and appreciate rap for what it is.

I dont care if rap is violent i just dont like it nor listen to it because its not my style of music hey if you like snoop good enough for ya im not gunna hate ya cuz you like it but i dont i cant stand listnin to it drives me....im more into punk and metal and other varies of music !!! Almost all music besides like classical crap has some form of violence /drug/sex realated topic in it even if they arent that descrete!!

Personally I listen to rap. I like it because of it's smooth lyrics that you can actually understand instead of the nonsense that the wannabe "punks" try and get across to the rebellious teenagers who think they have no home and tell tales of wild,fascinating times they had going out living the kind of punk life beating the hell out of people and afterwards piercing their tongues and dying their hairs to try and be like that "ever so popular wannabe punk pussy". Yes,I know that most rappers talk about killing people and drugs and sex. But don't the wannabe punkers do it too? "Let me help you tie the rope around your neck" are well known lyrics from the song Dig by Mudvayne. I know this because I used to listen to them.
I used to listen to them back when I was in 6th grade. Such a troubled young kid I was. Thinking I was cool because I got into trouble and could spike my hair. I took after and wanted to be like all the "punk rockers" such as Korn,Mudvayne,Hatebreed,etc. You see where I'm coming from?

Heh I was pretty much into every phase of music. 70's/80's rock, then crazy ass banging metal and from that I made the wierdest changed...to RAP. Of course now I still go back and listen to old and metal bands but I like Rap the best. IMO Rap is the most expressive form of music. Rock music always has a certain sound, that guitar sounding sound heh. Rap leaves the most room for creativity and yes believe it or not, emotion. And I see exactly where you are comin from.
