Yeah, i've had the sprocket before, and a bunch of my friends run it. They're pretty nice and strong and stuff. If you're into sprocket grinds they make a grind cover thing that works really good for it.

I run a 39/16 gear ratio, i think you have to have a casset hub to have anything less than a 16 on there, but if you can afford it go right ahead cause casset hubs are really good. You might want to go down a little bit on the sprocket though, cause the ratio would be kinda' high, (it would be harder to start off, but you could go faster), and then your sprocket wouldnt get in the way of grinds as much. If i could afford a casset hub, i would go with a 33/13 set up. :)

thanks man
maybe you got your gearing wrong or smothing but on bmxonline.com it has a gearing chart to best match 44/16 (the regular) but whatever. ive also seen a freewheel that came in 14t, the acs claw but gearing is all a matter of preference
:p

Thasher said a kinklight sprocket. Punkrock has not had one of those sprokets. He had the og sprocket which is awesome that is what both me and punkrock have and it is great but none of us have had the light sprocket

hey, the kink lite sprocket should hold up good for you as long as you're not doing sprocket grinds every other trick. Not to say that it can't take some abuse. however it's called the "lite" sprocket for that reason, it's light. so if you're looking for a sprocket that will last forever I suggest you look elsewhere... (I suggest the fbm with the guard. or pretty much any sprocket with a kink park guard) but if you're looking for a nice strong sprocket that doesn't weigh a ton then I highly recommend the kink. oh and on the issue of 39-14, this gearing is very common these days. it feels almost identical to a 44-16. if you have a cassette hub then you can run a 13 tooth cog which when paired with a 36 tooth sprocket will result in the exact same gear ratio as a 44-16. but 39-14 is super common also and it feels virtually identical so don't sweat it.

what size sprocket did you get? if you got a 39 and want a 14 tooth freewheel you won't be able to get a normal hub. there are flip flop hubs that allow small freewheels though. I think mutiny makes one... so check it out. or you could go with a cassette. there are a few more innexpensive options out there such as the odyssey... and I believe there is also a mutiny cassette. you can't go wrong with mutiny... their stuff rocks my socks. I'm considering getting a new enemy frame. anywhatever. if you got a 39er go with the mutiny black ball flip flops... they punt rump.

Yeah mutiny also makes one and so does profile and Hoffman i think but the hoffman may just be for left side dirve. I think if you have the money you should go with the profile ss cassete hub. You can buy one form albes for 199.99 and get whatever kind 36 tooth sproket you want that they sell. If I had the money that is what I would do.

man if you go to staff you can get a profile freecoaster 14mm which is the best for two hundred dollars and you get a free sprocket any kind you want and if you get all the other stuff and you have to buy a sprocket your gonna end up paying around two hundred anyways. thats what im gonna do when i get mine. hope that helped

I think he already bought a sprocket. and why would he want a freecoaster hub? never did he specify that. freecoasters are unreliable and require way too much maintenance. What he wants is a cassette hub or a flip flop hub so he can run smaller gearing. and if you truly want to save money then get the mutiny's, you get the front and rear hub for just over 100$, and I'm sure albes or trend or someone can hook you up with just the rear if you want it for significantly less. I'm beginning to see less and less of an advantage to buying a cassette hub these days... (although the new primo pro cassettes look really good) mutiny is the way to go.
