I still don't know how to get a Bunny Hop, what's the movement that you need to do to get the Bike of the ground.... I haven't seen any trick tips 'bout it on the web so i'll just ask you guys.

Heres the steps to it.

1) Learn to manual... do this my practicing shifting your weight over the back tire and getting the front off the ground for a certain distance.

2) Now that you know how to shift your weight, shift it over the back wheel and lift up the front bars a lot. Now get your body vertical and towards the bars and point your toes to the ground and flick up the pedals.

3) The bike will come off the ground... now push your arms forward to level out the bike.

4) Absorb the impact of the landing and roll away clean.

I just recently improved my bunny hops. Instead of trying to lift your whole bike at once;

- Approach the object, and a few feet away (depending on how fast your going), pull your front end up.

- Pull your front end up higher and then when it is peaked, raise your back up by kinda moving forward.

Hope this makes sense/helps. :rolleyes:

Who are you to go calling everyone a dumbass.... I have never even heard of a flathop. Nor do I see the point in doing one.

the higher u lift your arms n legs the higher the bike will go. once you get the basic movement right, bunny hops are the easiest things in the world to do, you will be able to do them with your eyes closed!!

when practising, first try on a flat surface with some kind of marking, like a car park. try hopping over the lines of the bays
then get a garden cane or some kind of straight stick and place it ontop of two soft drink cans. try hopping over that, the joy of this obstacle is if u knock it, it wont knock you off.
then basicly work your way up to higher stuff. in the BMX gallery, i am doing an abubaca on a concrete block thing, i could side hop onto that, which is basicly a bunnyhop, not moving, and sideways! its all about practising, you'll get it quickly enough!

J-Hops include a pedal stroke to give it a quirky movement. they can be done from manuals or wheelies

Cool, I used to just jump and lift the bike up for a bunny hop.

your first inclination is going to be to try to lift up the whole bike, both front and back tire at the same time, but this is not really the proper way to do a bunny hop. What you are going to want to do when you do a bunny hop is lift the front tire up first and then once you start leveling out, pick up the back tire. The reason you can do this is is you can get a lot higher using a lot more of your muscles, and this is a lot more efficient of a way to do it. And once you get it down, you may want to try moving it to smaller obstacles that you can jump onto, like a curb, and maybe once you get real high, you can start trying to jump over things and even onto stuff like picnic tables and over trashcans and stuff. But that is going to be more advanced, and you want to stick to the basics first.
