analogue cams need to thread into the pc via a capture card. So u'll need one of them. That cam should be alright i think a few people on this forum rock that model or similar.

Its all about the quality... so it does matter if you want quality. You should get yourself on eBay and find a good cam used. NEVER... EVER use nightshot to film skateboarding. Capture cards can range from $10-$500.... it depends what you need. Most run around $70. It goes in the PCI slot if it is a PCI Capture Card... I'm pretty sure there are some Firewire to video box ones aswell.

I try not to use night shot if at all possible, but as we don't have a generator for our light, I have to use it more oft than not.

i think night shots (with a big ass light so you can see), can look very nice if filmed right (look at flip - sorry, in Mark's part when he crooks that rail at night and it looks so smooth and kinda spoooky). However, if it's shot badly then it can look just plain stupid because you carnt see the skater/object very well so it could be a waste of a trick in a video bringing the standards down a bit

Yeah... if you have some lights or even an on camera light it can look pretty good if you adjust the exposure or at least put it on manual. Dont use nightshot because it looks BAD.

My TRV118 has a light, too, but it doesn't do shit. Sure, if there's no light at all, it'll help, but with no lights, it still looks bad.
