Any good gifts?

Did any of you get some good gifts this year? I got a Kenko 0.43x fisheye, a couple of filters, a tripod, THUG, a couple CD's, and some clothes.

Not one..believe it or not. The reason is because I really didn't ask for anything...AT ALL. I'm still not sure why. My best guess, is because the only things I want are very expensive (guitar equipment), and I know my parents would never get it, anyways.

i got a fleece hat with a snake on the end of it, futurama & family guy Vol 1 DVDs, gift cards, XIII for ps2, a new spiderman watch (to replace the old one i lost at a show), some sweaters, some woolen socks (i asked for both), and i'm pretty darn happy.

and my mom has 9 brothers/sisters, and most of them are married... thats where i got most of the gift cards from and the hat.

Haha, I got guitar picks and strings too, and not even the strings I like, some really cheap @$$ strings. At least the picks were the right kind.

Everyone should be thankful, though. My friend (the drummer in my band), found out years ago that his family is a family that adopted him...and they have given him shit non-stop. His "mom" tries to make his life a living hell, while his dad is the nicest guy ever. Anyways, guess what he got for christmas? A calendar. Nothing else..


...except a couple of CD's from his girlfriend. That's it.

same here. the srtings weren't that cheap but they were way to small (.09 on the low E string) when i play .12 for jazz and blues but like u said e thatnkful for what u get and sorry to hear about ur buddys mom makin his life hell. that would suck

I got a pack of .09's, and some .11's, I think. I like thick bottomed strings, because I play pop-punk type music, so I want extra crunch. Normally I use Ernie Ball hybrid slinky/Super slinky/skinny top heavy bottom's...I love ernie ball's.

i like think bottomed to but i like to play blues so i like slinky strings. normally i play black diamond strings but ernie ball strings r ok. i got D'Addario or something like that. the kind i got on my frist guitar when i started lessons with my teacher (Dave).

since i am kinda living far from my parents , i know they bought me something , i have yet to go home and check it out while out shooting a movie in new yourk city .. but i bought my self my own christmas present ... an new Apple I-Book , fully loaded and all my fav editing osftware's to go with it such as : Boris Red , Boris Continuum complete , Boris FX , Final Cut Pro 4 , Avid Mojo .. and i bought 2 external 300 gig hd's ofr editing .. i soent like 5 grand .. but it's worth it cause i get crazy discounts if i buy tons of shit all at once through the tv studio ..
