ps2 online

ok, i have the adapter and and my cables are hooked up to the internet and i have all of the supplies i need. when i play a game do i need to download anything from the internet or does the game just appear on the ps2. i have socom 2 navy seals and i want to play it online.

please help

you shouldn't have to download anything. you should just be able to pop the disk in and select the online play option.

oh, thing is... you might need to have a broadband (dsl/cable/t1, etc.) connection to play it online.

all u have to do is put the disk in? because i have dsl and a router and all of that shit. do need to have ur computer on? so all u do is put the game in and click online play once i am already hooked up to the internet?

if you have DSL you are always on. you shouldn't need to have your computer on, but since you have a router, i think you might need to...

also, i'm gunna suggest reading the instruction booklets for the game and for the online adapter for your ps2.

you might want to find the port the PS2 online games are using and unblock it from your router....lots of routers have physical firewalls that need to be configured to play games and create servers...even on computer.

well they are both good because they both don't have any lag and the ps2 online is good because u don't have to play monthly, but XBOX LIVE is sometimes more fun because they have better games. but socom 2 navy seals is also really fun to play online.

i would have to say that XBOX LIVE is better though because almost every game that comes out for XBOX now has XBOX LIVE, but ps2 online is still fun

why, do u want to get an oline gaming system. i would get ps2 online because it is cheaper and they still have good games and both ps2 online and XBOX LIVE have a headset so u can talk with people and make strategies and shit

if u have ps2, buy the adapter for like 30-40 dollars and then u will have an online gaming system for the rest of ur life 4 free. don't just buy an XBOX

ok, go to a gaming store like BEST BUY or something and ask someone how u would play ps2 online and he will tell u everything. he will give u the adapter and all of the other shit u need
