View Full Version : Long time no see...

I thought I'd drop in after I got an email about a post I made around a year ago. Things have totally changed since I've been on Ramprage. I just thought I'd drop in to tell everyone long time no see. I'm currently a Moderator on Sean's (blind) site ____ I'm having a complete blast there, and I'm a full time LL member.
I haven't really picked up skating much again after I injured my knee. I really would like to get back to it. I miss the feeling of just walking outside and pulling off a kickflip like it was no problem. Sean made me realize in an email that I really need to get back to it.
Always keep skating guys. I could never tell you how horrible it is when you lose an ability that feels so Godgiven. Keep skating, keep the spirit, and put all of your heart into everything you do.
This was just a time to say hi, and I hope that you guys are still alright. This site has come so far in the past 2 years I was on here. I've matured a lot, and I've gotten to see a lot of the RR members grow up just as much as I do. Keep in touch with these friends you have on here. Snaker, Blind, Robiskewl, Insane Luis...I mean I could go on forever...I've known these people it seems like forever, and we've all had some great times together. Keep in touch with these people you meet on here. They're great people. If they're as good to me as they are to you, they'll inspire you just as much as they inspire me.
From an old skool member (kind of) of both sites, I'm Megan, this is my hello. I hope you've learn, listened, or just skimmed through what I was saying. But hopefully I've helped you in some way. I've made enough mistakes to realize, just keep in touch, keep skating, and never give up.
Remember...
"If I believe in myself, I can learn to fly again, just like I used to..."
That was my philosophy on skateboarding, I'm trying to gain that back.
Thanks for your time.
*edit* sorry Megan, but we can't promote sites

Sorry to ruin your comeback, but it needs to be said. Fliptrickmaster, you are the most narrow minded, conceited, blind, tw@ i know. You post about 400 times a day, most of which seem to be argueing or making reference to how good you apparently are at skating.
'I have a bank, i love to f/s flip on it'
whats the matter? a little insecure are we. Maybe your a little big headed with your 'sponsership'.
Does it matter if she is veteren? Who are you to call someone a traitor anyway? It is not your position to be honest. A lot of people post on LL here, although this board is seemingly more active. All you want to do is argue all the time. shit son, really get a new hoby instead of flooding these boards with your immature views on it all. Please? Before I shoot myself. please
please?

Oh by the way I know your 'sponsered'. Got anything else?

Thanks everyone for the welcome back, it's really awesome to see you all again. :D
I tend to be a type of person who disreguards other's ignorance of my life and/or so called "veteran" status. I don't have anything whatsoever against you, so therefore you shouldn't have anything against me either.
Sponsorship, I gave that up right after I was having my knee rehabilitated. I told Mom (For all of you who might remember mom, the ISC owner) that I really loved skating on the team, but I had my time to shine. I peacefully kind of, "snuck out" I suppose you'd say. The guys I was on the team with have mostly grown up, a lot of them in college, some still skate on the team, and others who quit. After ISC changed places, it grew so much, that the ISC team was pretty much forgotten about. It's mostly a place for bands to play now, but still the ones who skate there, I give mad props to.
I won a skate contest I believe in 2002? (Queen of the Skatepark, or King of the Skatepark as it was called) and that was the greatest moment of my life. After the accident though, I just realized maybe it was a sign of some sort to just, stop. Don't ask me why. I was extremely depressed about it though, and started playing more guitar. It's amazing how you have something so great come into your life, and since you might've lost that skill, another came into it's position.
The last couple years of my life have been a complete learning experience for me. It's been the worst and best times ever. I know I may just be in middle school, (8th grade) but I feel far beyond my years. I've been dating my boyfriend now for 7 months, I've never had a closer relationship with my family, I'm President of two committees at school, and my GPA is at a 3.6. Really, if I may say, I feel completely blessed. Only my skateboarding is missing out of my life, and that feels like my whole heart.
My leg is doing great right now. I still get a few aches and pains in it, but it's all doing pretty well. For the first time last summer I could actually water ski, wakeboard, and knee board again with my family. I was so lucky that I didn't completely tear my ACL. If I did, I would have problems probably for the rest of my life. But thank god for that. :D
Many people have helped me get through those times, but mostly I had to listen to my heart to get me through. Always listen to your heart and your gut feeling. Your mind always gets in the way, but just take that advice from major experience.
Mrock (Mike) was always there for me through anything. I know I probably haven't thanked you enough, but you've been a great person to me, and will always continue to be a great person to anyone else in this world.
I'd like to say hi to all of the "newbies" to me. Sorry I wasn't here to say my salutations. :D So here it is.
*mods* Sorry about the spam, I didn't mean to! I totally understand though why you did it, and it was an honest mistake. :) Great job keeping the forums clean though.

If memory serves me correct she was doing a boardslide (I think) down one of the park rails at ____ (forgot park name), and fell weird and tore her ACL. She was out for a long time, it was pretty shitty for her for a while. She's made the best of it though and things have turned out alright. That's it in a handbag.

Welcome back Megan, I feel special I was mentioned in that list. Heh, I don't know even what I'm saying here because I personally don't think I'm a RR member, I just happen to be here when I'm bored and have nothing better to do. So yeah, enjoy and I can't wait to see you skate... Yes that means I'll take my ass out of Utah and go to Indiana! Heh, well later days.
