its got sumthin to do with global warming. i read in popular science that earth is becoming more like venus due to all the pollution. venus' atmosphere traps heat and all that dust and nasty stuff inside thus creating a very effective conductor/insulator within the atmosphere. Earth is forming one too. now, how does this affect cold weather? all the crap thats stuck in the atmosphere gets cold or hot FAST thus proving the conducting effects. All the cold/hot lasts for some time because the insulating effects of our changing atmosphere traps it. so depending on the positions of earth related to the sun AKA seasons, temperatures will have changed dramatically from average highs and lows.
it was 70 here all last week. now its 20. ** note **the quickness of how the temperature changes depends on atmospheric conditions and/or disturbances such as storms and rainfall. it rained here before this week started, and so, its really cold now.

well we had that snow melting/raining period 2 weeks ago.....irony:2 weeks ago the hills were closed because there was no snow and it was raining.....this week they're closed because it's too cold....I have a friend that moved to Whistler BC, he took a 1 year break between college and university, and I'm probably gonna do the same thing.

better start saving your pennies now then bro. seriously.
whistler isnt cheap. not cheap to ride, not cheap to live there either.
i mean christ, a seasons pass for whistler is $1639
plus youre looking to pay a astronomical amount for rent, all while working for $8 an hour.
thats rediculous...
theres so much better, undevloped, cheaper places than whistler out here in BC...
BUT, if you think youve got the skills to be discovered, and you need a ton of skill if youre looking to get noticed in whistler, whistlers the place to be for sure.
totally not meaning to sound like a prick, but just dont bring that cocky east coast attitude out here with you that i notice a lot of east coasters bring with them that i meet if you dont make it out west. im not saying youre a cocky one yourself, im just sayin...
i guess nobody said living the life of a powder junkie would be easy though, eh?

Bah I already have lots of money I saved in the last couple of years...and I plan on going there in 2 years...wich makes more money...The guy I know left Montreal with his old crappy car, and got there without a problem less than a week later...he's working in a bar in the village, co-rents a place near the village and has a discount on pass since he works in the village. Since it's only for a year, it's not like I want to MAKE money going there, just a year of fun :). Anyways I'm going for a week with my school in a couple of months, so I'll see if like it enough to stay there a year.

see how you east coasters fare at dropping cliffs and picking lines through chutes. :D
