Vignetting with Raynox QC-303?

ok, so i bought an old Hi8 video camera a few days ago, yesterday i bought a raynox clip on fisheye. BUT... it has major vignetting in the corners (it's really wide, but the vignetting is crazy bad)

anyone know how to get rid of this without zooming and losing that fisheye goodness?

there is no way to do it without zooming sorry m8 :s unless u want to but a good fisheye and camera that'd solve ur problem :D

I dunno how that works dude. Are you sure your camera threads are between the 27-37mm limit? I use it on my TRV18e and when I don't have a filter on there is no vignetting at all. Even with one UV filter there is only a small amount of vignetting on the computer and it doesn't show up on TV. The TRV18 is a 30.5mm front. Then I tried the fisheye on a panasonic camcorder with a 37mm front and there was still no vignetting. Not sure whats going on with you. Try kenko?

it's a 37mm thread.

i got rid of some of it, the lens wasn't on totally straight, that's got rid of some of it. i'll just keep playing around with it... see what works

my friend has got a gaynox on a 37mm. I don't rate it much but for £12 why not? no vignetting on his by the way.

I got a Raynox .3x on my TRV-118, and there's very little vignetting. I love it because it's a decent fisheye for pretty cheap.

Zoom in a little bit to get rid of the rest of the vintaging, see if it works.

wierd thing is... today, i was filming, i didn't zoom or anything. and there's less vignetting

ah well... maybe cause my friend hit it with his board, it might have pushed it on a bit further

get a death lens so there's only a small circle in the middle visible.
