Risers???

i anit no newbie to skateboarding but risers still confuse me i ridden set ups with risers and ones without but wat i want to no is how many ppl use them and what advantages (disadvantages) do you get from using them plz help!!

they make your board higher off the ground.. that's all they do. they're used for larger wheels (56mm+), so you dont get wheel bite.

Exactly what Rob said, I skate 50mm wheels so I don't have to worry about them.

risers serve some purpose. they prevent pressure cracks to some extent and helps take shock. I dont use em tho. lower is better is my flow.

Soften landings
Reduce stress cracks
Reduce breaks
Reduce kingpin snaps
Reduce the risk of you noob's hurting your joints.

Never used them and never needed them. Used them once and they put **** off big pressure cracks in my board. Each to their own tho'

ya i use them b'cuz guy at proskates said that they keep ur board from breaking as easy and they were only $5 so i figured $5 for riser $85 for a deck,its worth it.

i use them for the exact reasons flipboy said cept im not a noob and i dont care if my joints hurt. i got the world industries hellraisers cause they are like the softest risers you can buy (except for dooks shock pads im sure) because lets face it im not made of money and i need my stuff to last me as long as i can.

actually oldscoolelement - you can get lucky 7 risers - they are green with a fourleaf clover shock pad in the middle, up yours - you are stupid.

i use them all the time. I have dooks shock pads, they absorb shock and prvent presure crackes to some extent.

riserpads are good for heavier people because they absorb the shock when you land...my friend's 200 pounds and if he doesnt use riser's, he can snap boards by just popping simple ollies...riser pads sem to really help

How do you think the risers affect the pop??? its obviously gonna change the angle at which your board will be at when the tail is down so i was wondering how everyone think riser change the pop of their board.

yeah its a league, merril park baseball, and i umpire there. good money, depending on what you do and what league (field or plate ump, and minor/major/ junior leagues) its anywhere from 18 to 30$ a game, and a game is no more than 2 hours, usually less. and its tax free

u got the phontom 2 trucks or just the risers or somtin? i seen the phantom2 at ccs and i was like screw it im gonna buy a set of them and check them out, if i like them ill rplace my mids w/ them or if there total junk ill sell to some retarded kid that has like loads of money. but if you do have the phantom2 tell how they are and how they compare to other trucks.
