I am new to skateboarding and I just bought a new skateboard yesterday. I have not ridden the skateboard yet, but today I noticed a little bubble in the griptape about an inch in diameter. Is it a big deal, or should I bring it back and ask him to fix it.

just stab it with something really sharp and stand over it, it's just an air bubble where the grip hasnt been applied properly so basically some air is caught under there and all u have to do is let it out

Yeah, it's not that uncommon. If you think it effects your skating or your consience of it, do above.
