What are the dimensions for a standard 4ft tall 8 ft wide mini (i.e. deck sizes, flatbed sizes, total length w/decks). Oh and I don't know if this affects the length or not, but i want all transition and no vert =)

You want a minipipe 4ft tall and 8ft wide, ok, the dimensions for that would be depending on your skate style and the way you want it built but heres a brief, if your pipes 4 ft tall than the flat section of the ramp would be anywhere from 6 to 8 ft long, my pipes 5 feet high and my flat section is 10 ft long so if you want a fast riding pipe than make your flat section 6 feet, if you want to go slower try 8. As far as length after you choose the total length of your flat section and the total length of both sides of the pipe, just add that to get your total length. And decksize is total your opinion if you want a small deck go for it, but the bigger the deck the better, because its good to have somewhere to land when you finish a session. If you want all transition than go for it. It will affect the length also. It will make the pipe bigger, the degree of your tranny also affects the length you should have your flat section, I suggest that you take a look at some ramp plans on the site, or buy some, that way you'll have the best fitted pipe.

How about a 7 ft flatbed, 5 ft transitions, and 4 ft decks for a total length of 20 ft =). My original idea was going to be 6 ft flatbed, 5 ft transitions, and 3 ft decks but thats too small for me lol.

That sounds decent to me, well mine is 25 feet long, and both sides are 6 feet high, so you'll get good speed in that, you should be able to get some nice airs, the longer pipes and made for more flip style tricks and nice grinds and stalls, but this one would be great for all. build it dude

you just hafta take one measurement, put it up to the desired size, and then scale everything up.

To figure out the dimesions is pretty easy if you can understand that a ramp is built in sections. For example a 4 ft high 8 ft wide mini ramp has 5 sections to it. 2 transitioned sections that are 8 ft in length and 8 ft wide (templates are cut out of 8x4 sheets of plywood) 1 section of flatbottom ( I don't recomend any more than 8 ft of flatbottom on a 4ft high ramp you will find that anything longer will leave you struggling to reach the coping on the other side and keep up speed) then you also have two 4 ft decks or platforms. overall dimesions 4 ft high 8ft wide 30-33 ft long. I recommend checking out buildaramp.com where you will find a 54 page guide called The Beginners Guide To Building Ramps. This book is full of photos, illustrations and over 15 years of ramp building knowledge inside!
