it seems like every trick request in here has to do with street so vert people represent.

i also have a question. how long did it take u guys to drop in and is it worth it cus my friend just pumps when hes on a half pipe

Yeah dude, I skate both street and vert, but more so street, actually I have my own pipe, its 6 ft high, 8 ft wide and 25 ft long, it pretty sweet and the transition wack. Dropping in is for sure worth it, because you get more speed for your first air, and looks way sweeter, and another thing, this threqad belongs in the Lounge because it isnt a trick request or trick help question so, im gonna move it. Peace out dude

I Skate Mini's, umm lets see I first dropped in on a 3 1/2 foot I think it only took me 1 or 2 trys, but that wasn't steep at all first real Quarter pipe I dropped in on was 4 feet and that took maybe a whole day or trying, then on the Mini (its 4 1/2) it took like 2 days.

I skate a huge pool with 10 foot vert and a tiny little bit of over vert. I just use the roll in for that get more goes on it. I do alot of street but i find pool so much more fun.

I skated my first bowl yesterday, mmm...boardslides round the corners.
Vert, i gradually dropped higher and higher ramps until 13.5ft. It's so damn worth it, such a rush. Rock fakies are on the agenda!

im more of a vert guy then a street guy. vert just has more flow, and me being a snowboarder first and skater second, vert just appeals to me more.
my first piece of advice on dropping in? dont be afraid to commit. youll get hurt more if you dont commit and lean back and fall because youre scared then if you lean forward and commit and ride it out to the other side of the pipe. commiting is the key! remember, dropping in and standing at the top of the coping looks, and feels, a lot scarier then it actually is.
my second piece of advice for dropping in? suck it up and dont be a pussy. :p ;)

i hope my first piece of advice made sense. if not, just ask me to elaborate. :)

everybody skates street to start with... it's easier. If u start on hp then u will probably kill/maim/break a toenail etc. and stop.

dropping in is worth it. i started with a 3 ft quater then a 5ft.
then a 9ft in a few weeks

dude dropping in is sweet, the first drop in i tried was when i was 10. i dropped in on a (about) 15 foot street quarter pipe. it took a few tries (my brushings where wack, i had the wobbliest board ive ever seen). i finally made it but then bailed on the pyramid in front of it.lol

vert is too confined, you basically ride back and forth with little freedom to expand. that and that not alot of people have their own ramp,s but everyone can go skate street

there are no 6' tall vert ramps you ninnies! thats just plain tiny tranny.

i like to skate halfpipes if that's what your asking, they're fun stuff, axle stalls are crazy fun, and its fun to just to front/back tails on halfpipes.. nosegrab airs (lein) to front tails are fun, then i feel like tony t.
