you know in the wheel between the 2 bearings theres a little metal thing. i was just wandering what was it for and do you have to have it. or isnt it important .

I know what you mean, i've had it once, it's just extra protection to seperate each bearing.
I never know the difference

its the bearing spacer, its just basically to keep them apart, but wheels have a big enough thing in the middle to do it themselves. guess it couldnt hurt.

yeah...bearing spacer....the only time i used one it smashed my bearing...

You can't buy them many places if at all and i think they make no difference at all, maybe they look good from some people's perspective.

well they probably do SOMETHING, we just dont know what. but black panthers come with them, i know that.

i had 4 of em at my house but i wasnt using them so i greased the inside of them and put em in. it made the wheels spin much better and faster around the trucks:) so if ur putting em in try greasing the inside with RP7 OR WD-40

They're just little washers to stop the bearings rubbing against the axel nut and gettin all deformed. I think they're called speed rings.

im thinking about getting that "reflex bearing lube" out of a ccs zeen i have. 1 of my buddies told me that itll help with the break in of the bearings. i dont know if i want that help with my bones reds???:confused:

eeh bearing lube doesnt really do too much. ive always just been a fan of a lil spray of some WD40. it works awesome

totally different topic. They are talking about the spacer in between the bearings.
