I need help catching kickflips. When I learned them, they were about 3 inches off the ground. Now I can do them higher, but they flip to fast to land them without catching it.

Flip them slower, and suck your legs up. That's all you need to know.

I tried that, but they look ugly as hell.

I have the same problem, And It's hard for me to flip them slower..When I try to go higher I can NEVER catch them..and sometimes they'll flip 1 and a half times sometimes even 2 times but I have a hard time putting my feet down when I suck up my legs And they get off axis Sucks..

pop hard then flip slower and dont let gravity take u down, as soon as u see the grip extend ur legs

Well the answer isn't just to pop it harder or something simple. It's more of a technique that you have to find yourself. Ehem, sorry frontside but I just had to comment on how the **** do you not let gravity take you down?

When you really catch a trick you can feel the board and where it's going and when you get your kickflips down enough to where you can put it where you want it you can catch it.

Try flipping it with your foot more centre. I catch mine high and well like that.

Ollie a little higher and flip them slower. Make sure you don't wait too long to catch it because then you'll land it upside down, but don't rush it either. Just keep practicing.

run around chanting "noo naa nini" for 3 minutes before you try

Put magnets on your board and your shoes. That should work.

That's called "sticking" a trick.

its not about flipping slower or where your foot is. practice and it comes naturally. its more of a feeling, not waiting to see the grip then extending your legs. but thats just my personal experience

u dont need to pop harder, u need to just jump higher and suck up ur knees. if u jump higher, the board will come with u

Try kicking down harder rather then out and no ninja kicks.

^ thats pretty much it.

I could always do a pretty good kickflip on flat ground, but that got really boring so all i did for a whole week is, after school i would kickflip over something small and then build my self up. Now i can kickflip a deck like my 2nd try.

I figured out that if you put your foot in the middle of the board (so your big toe is on the front right bolt) and you slide it off the nose insted of off to the side the board will go higher and it comes up to your feet so its easyer to catch.

If all else fales.............get some magnites......
