Dang PS2

Man i was playing my PS2 last night (Thursday) and it just started to fritz. Like it was makeing where my controller coursor mave all over the place and select things by its self. Its fell from about 3ft before (cause my cousin tripped over the cord). But that was like 2 months ago and it didnt even hit the ground (i had all my cords wire tied behind my entertainment center). I dont know if its the PS2 or the controller.:mad: Im kind of hoping its the controller. But sometimes when i play music on it (brand new cds) it skips like a mofo:mad: then starts doing the controller thing again. Ive taken it apart and nothins broke int it whats wrongs with it:confused: :-11:

Sounds like the Controler to me, same ting happened to my PS1, no big deal.....hopefully.

yeah it's probably just the controller. that happened to me with my ps1. it happens when you push the buttons too hard for awhile

yea i have that problem, ive already went through 3 controllers since i got it (i think i got it in like 2002 or something). im hard on controllers cause the buttons feel so soft that you fell like you got to push the button through the controller to get it to work. crap now i dont have any working controllers any more then. i dont think i can go a rainy day w/out ps2. ooohhh mmmaaaannnn (tears)

you might have been switching the on/off switch instead of putting ole ps2 to sleep, that could do it

^huh how do i put it to sleep? and will that screw the ps2 up bad? and i thought you were supppose to swicth it on and off.

hold the 'reset' button for 3 seconds and that makes it sleep

how the hell can you make a PS2 'sleep' and what does it mean?....like a computer's sleep function?

by putting it to sleep your not completely shutting down everything at once, thats what can screw it up, it is liek a computer, all i really know is that it can mess the ps2 up if you just switch it on and off

If u leave the controllers upside down with the analouge sticks kept to the sides it really messes them up

Yeah I ****ed a couple of nintendo64 controllers by putting them upside down for a while....after like 4-5 times they don't work anymore.

my gamecube broke. when you turn it on the whole screen goes black after about 2 or 3 mintes of playing it

dude don't play DVD's in your ps2 i did and now the thing won't read any of my games i would gusse that CD's might mess it up too...
