My friends and i make cky type videos and i wanted to get a fisheye lens for my camcorder.

I have a JVC GR-D70U. It's a typical miniDV consumer camcorder with a 43.2mm lens.

I tried searching buti couldn't find anything for less than $200. Does anybody know where i can get one cheaper? ($20-$40, i know they're out there!)

The only cheap fisheyes are the Kenko and the Raynox QC-303... both of which do not fit from what you are telling me. Find out what the thread size is because I doubt it is 43.2mm... my Sony TRV18 is 30.5mm... its usually a pretty even number.

yea, 43.2 sounds a little outta wack, but im sure its possible. and i dunno if theres such thing as a cheat fisheye.

Here is exactly what is written around the inner edge of my lens...

f=2.7~43.2mm F1.6 Ø37 JVC VIDEO LENS 16x OPTICAL ZOOM/AF

Yeah, I would suggest Kenko, but I don't think they make one thats fits your camera.

"f=2.7~43.2mm" is the range of the focal length. It means minimum focal length is 2.7, and maximum focal length is 43.2.

However the 37 is the filter size of your camera, just like the kenko. Which means the kenko should screw right on to your camera. I have a JVC too and it fits perfect. Just get on eBay and you can find one for $50.

Make sure you get the "Kenko .43x FishEye LENS 37mm Fish-Eye SGW-043".;)

Reckon you could bust out some Rahzel? i mean, it's hard to beatbox with a guitar, but being the talented dead man you are, i'm sure you could manage it.

Eh i didnt order it. I went to Best Buy and found a 37mm fisheye lens for $30. The brand is called Cockin or something like that. It works just fine as long as you manual focus and wait a few seconds for the auto white balance to kick in.
