I filmed this promo of my friend who skates for me and my friend's skate team, Odd. We start work on our first video, "How Do You Feel?" this summer.

like the snap to graphic at the start.
Sound was like listening to nails on a chalk board.
The lens looked filthy.
tricks were not that solid, but that will come.
Its probably not a good idea to run a simple trick next to a sweet set and not touch the set or stairs.
Music would be a good thing also.

hope this helps.

Thanx for the input, but about that set, its impossible, its a 12 and theres about 3 feet of room, and you cant go diagonal to it...

wow thats terrible. thats for askateshop?
dude im a filmer and im better then those kids
the kid said yea! after he ollied a little 6 inch gap dude. does your town have like no good skaters? that tre flip wasnt even landed. im sorry but i laugh practically the whole time. and when that kid did ollie that gap you tilted the camera too much up. so you didnt see the "gap"
sorry no offence your not too good at filming that will come. and those kids blow the big one.

dude, not to sound cocky, but im not bad at filming, and considering i threw this thing together in about 2 hours, from filming to final editing, i think i did pretty good.

no you didn't. A skate shop team. That was terrible. My mates can throw all those tricks in one in one go. Not being harsh but really.........

style?

alright, fair enough...the skating was mediocre, but enough about that... What exactly is wrong with my filming/editing, I mean, I study the filming in the videos, I go out just to practice... Sure I got a piece of crap Hi-8, thats why im gettin a dv.

Now instead of talking about the skating, tell me what was wrong with my filming? Any input is helpful...

you can't skate for a shop, the guy ollied across a tiny gap and fell off . the nollie flip was good but why was there so much ollieing into little slopes instead of ollieing stairs.

ya im the person who sk8s in that vid, and i know it sucked we just went to this little 100 by 100 foot church with nothing but those homo little banks, and the sets that were there were impossible. we were there for about 45 minutes, it was about 30 degrees, my bored sucked royally, and like i said it was cold. my style was bad then but you should see some of dans more recent filming and my sk8ing and style are definatly better now, so i appricate the constructive critisism but when you have to diss me all hardcore like that then its starting to get stupid. thats what i think so....
