lots and LOTS of practice... it'll annoy the hell out of the poeple you live with for a long time (so i suggest getting mutes... ask your parental units/ guardians/ whoever you live with to buy em for ya if they unless wanna go temporarily deaf ....and you can play at night with em without the neighbors complainging) but afterawhile it pays off

im not so sure if i can give u any tips on how to play drums and elec guitar. i play elec bass/elec guitar/drums. alls i can tell u about the Drums is that you have to have alot of patients (cant spell), motivation, perseverance and have some coordination.

Guitar....i cant tell you much about it. pretty much the same things as the drums, but instead you need to have hand-eye coordination....

i play elec bass/elec guitar/acoustic guitar. like circa said lotsa patience (thas how you spell it lol) it won't only annoy the hell out of the people that live with you, but it might annoy the hell out of you too. and if it does then you'll have to figure out what you really want. i've been playing for awhile now i'm pretty good in a band, so just keep it up, it'll pay off in the end.
