flatland or freestyle....flatland is ollies and whatnot, freestyle is stationry without ollies.
Basically, for freestyle (which im assuming you ment), start off by learning rail-stands on a normal street board. When you have got confident with them then move upto biger things.

actually, iamfalmeboy, i lot of freestyle is moving tricks. you have primo slides, footwork, fakie casper 180s and stuff... and ollies were originally done in freestyle, so those are freestyle too.

Railstands are what people today (mainly because of the Tony Hawk videogames) call Primo. The rail is the side of your board, and you are standing on it, hence a railstand

Uhhhh...no. You've got that backwards. They were always called railstands, but the Hawk games have people thinking that they're called Primos.
Primo is when you silde in a railstand.
Primo was an awesome skater.
Almostjeff- Depends on what trick you're trying to link it from. If you're not linking it, but just doing it from a riding position, I like to kick my board up, catch it, jump and land in a truck stand real fast and smooth.
