if i skate over the summer will it help my snowboarding this winter? i want to take my instructors course so i can get paid to ride.

not regualr skating, but longboasrding maybe, but if u really wanna snowboard in the summer, get the snowboard for skating thing, it has a truck with 2 wheels and then a 3rd wheel in the middle to recreate the carving and handline of snowbaording

Yeah you'll keep your legs in shape anyway don't know if it will increase your skill any but your legs won't weaken.

well skating might help with balance but if u do a grab in skate u wont necessairely be able to do it in snowboard ( my opinion )

i think its a lot easier to do greabs on snowboards then on skatebaords

i mountain board more than i snowboard but i do find it really helps. i was a mountain boarder before i had even tried a snowboard and when i first got on a snowboard it just happened straignt away. there is not a huge amount of lateral motion on a mountain board unless u are moving real fast on loose surfaces. its great for parcticing freestyle, it makes you land straight because if you dont it tends to hurt. but when you then freestyle on a snowboard it feels a lot easier. sorta

i find snowboarding more relaxing in a way & it dont seem to hurt as much.

My friend boards and skates and I'm gonna pick up boarding this coming year. He told me that riding a lot and getting the feel of just simply riding at higher speeds'll help with boarding...that's what he told me at least...
