AHHH!! My camera broke.. HELP!!

I turned my camera on the auto mode this morning and it was WAY out of focus. Then i tried it in manual mode and i still couldnt get it to focus. The zoom doesn't work either. Something is messed up with my lens. Any advice on where i should go or what i could do to get this fixed? I like the camera a lot and i just bought webspace for a tom green type comedy thing i'm doing. Please help!

Take it to where you bought it. Maybe it's still under warranty.

Nah i bought it used from Best Buy about a year ago and i threw out the box and the receipt and everything else already. I'm thinking about buying the same exact camera, then switch them, then bring it back to the store and return it and tell them it doesn't work. I did that a long time ago with my VCR and it worked but then my friend tried doing that with his PS2 and they caught him. I'll have to make some kind of plan where i run like hell if they find out.

Or save time and take it to a repair shop. Depends how much its worth. It could be cheaper to just buy a new one all together.

You threw out the manual? Other than that, search some sites like bestbuy and the maker of the cameras site, and check under troubleshooting.. Theres sometimes a walk though of how to fix things like that.. :\

you can probabaly find the manual online though the company...or let a vid head see if he/she can correct the problem..then if all else fails do what mikeJ said.

i think you should just buy a hole new camra

i liek the run like hell plan only cause i'd like to be there to film you running outta the store like a bat outta hell cause that be the funniest thing ever ... but on a serious note .. if you ever buy anything over 300 bucks or so .. never ever throw out the manual or the box or the receipt ..

They caught the dude with the PS2 because they check the serial numbers on the back of them. Just be casual like Nightmare said.
