Hey all. 2 day my tape just bodged up so my film has been destroyed. Which is a bit of a bugger.
1st of all you need to now that i cant edit any filming (old camera.)Anyway, now i can do some serious filming, on a new tape. So i will make this film better, but one question; How? Is there any angles that i should use? More street or vert? Film run ups? And any other advice.

Thanks all

If you have a fisheye, only use it if it adds to the shot or you are in a tight spot. Other than that put the camera on a tripod and film stuff long lens. Try from the side, straight on, over the person. Whatever looks good to you. Thats what seperates a pro from and amateur filmer. Maybe try filming a run on your board. Be sure to keep the camera steady. Vert is pretty boring but if its something sick skating put it in. Try to stay away from skateparks as much as possible. If you are putting in funny stuff.. make sure people who weren't there understand what is going on or else its taking away from the video. Last of all, make sure people are skating fast... slow skating looks bad.

yeah just make sure you dont use the fisheye all the time. i get sick of seeing a fisheye in every shot.

I doubt hes getting hammers in his first video. Guys who deserve hammers should be filmed on 3 chippers.

Well most of my filming is in skateparks and I dont think theres a thing wrong with it...ledge is a ledge, rail a rail...if ya have skills its gonna show. and if ya go to enough skateparks then ya have variety...slow mo is sometimes a good thing just to break things up. maybe for editing purposes. I dont have a fisheye yet soo cant really help ya there and dont have a 3chipper....but as any filmer thats worth a $hit will tell ya...good is good and it will show weather ur useing a TRV22 (like me) or a VX2000. sum of the advise your getting is good and sum is total BS...look at sum vids here or other places and if ya see sumthing ya like but dont understand how ya did that shot or how did u make it look like that..just ask the author.....also get tips from real filmmaker....theres alot of good sites out there that you can get kewl tips that you can apply to skatefilming. Ive only been making my own stuff for a very short time...but if ya do your homework and get expert advice...it will show in ur vid.

note to rankz: need not add "amatuer" if this is your first film, i think thats already implied. just a suggestion. think about it man, think about it. ponder it over in your mind, tossing and turning it and squeezing it and aghhh!!!@@@@@@@@H!J!!
