Get Good Pictures

Well I think a really good way to get good pictures is to use a Camera
Video camera..
now adays you can get good video cameras that are just like regular cameras
and when you are putting the footage on the computer, you can stall the footage and take a clip out of the video, this way you get exactly what you want and where you want it..
im sure alot of you knew this already
but i thought ide just share it just in case
also if you are filming for real.. have more then 1 filmer..

video stills will never be as good as a high quality camera setup.

I think that is the most rediculous comment ever posted on here. A video camera shoots about 600x400 maximum and is designed for output on TV. All of the footage is interlaced aswell and there is limited control on exposure, shutter speeds, aperatures, or white balances. You want to use flash? Forget it. You want something bigger than 4x6? Forget it. A bit of extra saturation like a Velvia gives? Forget it.

Filmers film with video cameras,
Photographers shoot with cameras.

If transworld started using video grabs instead of photographers.. all the shots would be printed 2x3 in the mag.

next issue comes with a free magnifying glass... it's a catch 22 you buy the first issue then you have to buy the second just so u can see the pictures in the first... what a great idea

Sorry mate but Mike and Muzz do photogrpahy and are pretty damn good at it, i play round with a video camera and take pictures with it but the quality is terrible. Why do you think photographers don't make pictures with stills from film.
