Since you don't grind a lot, I'd go with the lightest trucks possible. Probably Venture, becuase even though they have a really high king pin, they're really light. Also, they come in bright yellow. Which is cool.

i have ventures and they are really good. you can fix the high kingpin by getting a file and filing it down a lot. my bro has GK G-6 and they have lots of clearance but they feel too high off the ground. if you like street, get the venture superlight lo's. i know they make a high version but i don't know exactly how that's different from the lows. and the venture's are lighter too.

What? Huh? Wa? So now there is a certain type of truck you're supposed to use for street skating?
I've got one setup (which is not functional now...) with Grind King G-6's....and one with Ventures. I like venture's a lot...and consider them a good alternative to Grind kings. I don't notice the clearance issue at all with either truck...or notice how high they seem. I'd say you should probably ask around, and see if you can test someone's board, with ventures or GK's....see how you like them. As a little personal note, I do well on Ventures...but both trucks are great to me.

I agree. For overall everything, Grind Kings are the best by far. People like their Tensors and crap, but I've ridden them and they don't even compare. People just ride one company and think that they're the best. They should try some others before saying that they're the best.

Ironic. I am currently riding Tensors. So far..I've owned...Grind King Gk-6..Venture...Walmart trucks...and Tensors. I like to try other companys, to find what I do best on. I do that with everything, except wheels, grip tape, Bearings, and Risers. My next truck will probably be some Ventures again.
