ok this is the one flip trick that gets on my nerves. and if you're just going to say practice or something dont bother posting. ive been trying them for ages, my problem is whenever i try and land on the board
i land on it but only do a half flip. when i really try and flip it
i jump forward and the back of my feet hit the board and i land infront of the board. plz any advice and also how long had u been skating when u landed your first heelflip?

Well i can land them and learned them last week. I just was trying them out and i landed it after a bunch of practice. I was using my friends brothers mini which helped a lot...i know you use a 8" board so that might have an effect on it. Try using like a 7.5 or 7.75.

thanks for the reply, yeah at the moment i practice it with my old setup
cos whenever i screw it up it really damages the tail. the deck is a 7.5 on it.

im just starting out...again
with the heelflip, i used to jump in front of the board only did that twice i got it in about 2 days of trying for hours, when doing it try not moving your body just your front foot, i place my front foot slightly hanging off the end leaning on the palm of my front foot roughly in the middle of the board then when i ollie i sort of drag with the heel of my foot *so like a transfer palm to heel* and just kick and bring it around the nose *like the kickflip* dont know if you get what i mean but try that alot should get it..i did,
so try to keep your body centred on the board, its all about the front foot action:D "but dont neglect your back foot action..

its the motion thats the normal problem, just trial and error

try looking on bobstricktips.com
or google.
or just stay over the board and kick diagonly, not forward. its basicaly trial and error

I kick forward..when you slide your foot up while kicking forward, you end up kicking diagnol anyways...

I just got them down 3 days ago...the thing is:
1) Chances are your kicking hard enough..its just that it doesnt have time to spin. So focus more on how high you pop it cuase your gonna need a good solid ollie and you need to be high off the ground
2) kick your second foot out more and don't put the foot back really quickly, wait from the board to spin around fully or land on the ground first.
3) Your griptape might be to sticky (no joke, this was my problem).

yeah, but i think my problem at the moment is my feet stop it spinning to early, cos if i flip it then jump out of the way it does the do the full flip.
im just gonna keep tryin em. hopefully ill have them in the next week

I basically stand in ollie position and flick the corner of the board, like a kickflip
suck ur legs (especially ur back one) high

try to stick ur ass out when u pop. that way, you'll be kinda jumping backwards, and it'll sorta flip the board forward =)

umm, I think you should be jumping a bit forward, seeing as how the board is flipping forward...

one thing that sometimes happens is when i flip it then the board hits the back of my feet and it falls flat again.
but im gettin close

im on and off on the heels. like sometimes i land em perfect, one foot on the tail and my other foot in the ollie position, so perfect right? othertimes when i land them i fall off of the front of the board like the way my toes are pointing, i try leaning farther back, sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. its all about trial and error... like most tricks. heels are easier to learn than kickflips definately. i lost my k-flips actually, i am getting closer to being able to do em good again though, i used to have those wired for a few months, and now i just cant seem to land many good ones. oh well....

I prefer to land them over the trucks, actually. Either way is cool, I'm just a fan of both feet perfectly over the truck bolts on heels, they look nice!
