not that im in this situation right now or anything but i just wanna know your answer(i know my answer)

if you were goin out with a girl and ya really liked her but shes sed that she wanted you to quit skateboarding cus she was afraid ya were gona get hurt, and if you didnt quit shed dump you... what would you pick??

girls come and go, sometimes you might really like one and spend about a month or more goin out with them... but eventually your gona break up anyways so i'd say "fine, im skating, buh bye now". i mean, think about it, most of the people on this site are in like grade 8-10, and how many married couples do you know that started goin out in junior high school??

that was a good decisoin my g/f told me to quit sk8ing and i was like no way and she like oh well umm i'm still going out with you and i will always tell you to quit that and i was like i'm never quitting unless i end up being a vegetable but still i won't quit muahaha.

If she doesn't like you for who you are and can't appreciate what you enjoy then forget her man. There are millions more out there!

Don't let people try to tell you what to do, especially when it's your girlfriend and she wants you to quit skating.. are you nuts? Next thing you know she's going to try to get you to buy her anything she wants, take up knitting with her and sit at home and not enjoy life because everything else is "dangerous".

well, my girlfriend is cool w/ me skating, but she does worry about me getting hurt, but i seriously doubt she would ever ask me to quit b/c she understands how much i love it.

Chances are, the girls that you date at your age, wont matter very much, BUT, what you do with your life right now WILL matter, i mean, skating is a lifestyle and i already am looking back at the memories and wishing i could go back and do it again, and im only 17! skateboarding rules and there are a million different ways to experience, i suggest that you do your best to experience them all, and above all, have as much fun in the mean time as possible.

knitting is dangerous too ramprage, you could get a pin in the hand, thread burn, and so on. but still if i knitted my hands wouldnt be nearly as cut up as they are right now.

Well I not into girls all that much at the moment coz i don't have enough time to mess about with them and treat them like Queen's, wait till i get somewhere in life exp. in skating or sumert then i'll get inta girls more,

Ramprage said it best in my opinion (I skipped a LOT of posts on this topic, so my apologies).....

Most relationships up until your later high school and college years, are just things to fill up the time, honestly. Sure, a few people who meet in high school get married, and such...but a very small percentage. I'm not saying don't try to copy that..but it's no big deal if you lose one, when the statistics say, it would have happened sooner or later.

My old girlfriend hated me boarding, she considered me a degenerate for boarding....I'll give you one guess who told who to get lost...yep..screw that bitC*..I'm gonna board...

i don't understand girls like that. i mean, i'd never tell my guy (which yes, i'm single by the way) to stop doing somethine he loved. i mean, this is skateboarding she's talking about, it's like the thing thats made you, well, you. never stop doing something you love for a girl. trust me, i know way too many girls like that. and like freestylinfreak said about how she'll mold your relationship, and this is where it starts up. so i suggest you skate. she'll learn to live with it, or she'll not and just dump you or something. don't waste your time on girls that don't respect the things you like. it's cool to have likes and dislikes but when i meet someone i like that hates me skateboarding, i'm like sorry deal with it or leave. so, don't get hurt, (emotionally, physically is alright happens all the time) trust me, girls aren't what there cracked up to be. a lot of them are just plainly big bitc*es. i have experience i get made fun of by them all the time just cuz i skate. just be careful chainlink....:)
