to day i was looking at wheel prices and im in the market for a lighter, faster wheel. and i got looking that the flip wheels and saw 3 diffrent (lets call them) "breeds" of wheel. i saw your regular wheel, and side cut wheel. i knew about thos. what was new was a "cormax" wheel and the only thing diffrent about those was it had a small band on the bottom. are these air cores, or something better? and can you give me an opnion on a nice, light, fast (hopefully) cheap wheel? itd really help my old heavy blanks are coverd with flat spots and are shaky.

they are just cored wheels(hard plastic/urethane in by axle) and the plastic runs through the wheel in the middle..hard to explain.
some good wheels are just ricta cores. i have some and love them
you dont want light wheels because they wont spin good because of momnentum and lets say "driving force"

around here(central indiana) a fruitbooter is an aggressive inline person.
and for wheels, i am looking at getting autobahns as my next set(whenever that may be) i have heard good things about these wheels.

fruitbooter= rollarblader
and yeah, wheels don't matter that much in the terms of weight. the difference between blanks or normal wheels is like 2 grams, tops, that's all the wheels, so by buying wheels that are like 20$ more expensive your get 2 grams off your board, whooptie-fricken-doo! same with trucks, the difference between heaviest and lightest is like 4 grams a truck, that's like 8 grams difference, which isn't much, just go blanks, the only real thing you have to worry about is durablity, and durometer.

speed is determined by how hard you push. all you have to care about for wheels are size and how hard it is.

aren't bearings what make you go fast or slow?

The make make the pushes go faster and how long you ride really.
