It got bad reviews, I don't know why, robably cause everyone is hyped on the action movies and this one wasn't really action.

I saw the movie. Honestly the worst of M. Nights flicks. Its predictable because if you have seen the rest of his stuff, you know theres a twist, and there is only one twist in site about half way through. I see that a lot of you liked this movie, but I saw nothing about this movie worth talking about other then wanting a refund for having to sit through it

Because it had a overwhelming amount of people go to see the movie doesn't mean it's any good. Movies like 13 going on 30 were at the top of the box office at one point. Does that mean its good. No! Your looking at the "pop" charts of film. The movie has recieved terrible reviews, it will win no awards, and it is his worst film. Your more then welcome to like it, it just shows bad taste. Id like to hear of some other movies your into?

Dude, the Village it was an allright movie. The movie was good, the story line was the ****ed up part of it, I was dissapointed in it, I thought better of it. But oh well, I wouldn't see it again.

The Village was... ok. It was entertaining... But, I wouldn't go so far as to say it was "good" or "great". If you haven't seen it... I think you're better off renting it in the future.

its in cinemas now but it looks very ****ing gay. i will see it seeing as u thought it was good baker. whoa man the storyline seems kinda poofy. i read this and was surprised most of you liked it:
At first glance, the small, isolated village of Covington – population 60 – seems picture perfect. But this close-knit community lives with the frightening knowledge that creatures reside in the surrounding woods. When strange red markings start appearing on their doors, they begin to suspect that the creatures have dark intentions. Tired of living in captivity, the curious and headstrong Lucius Hunt (Joaquin Phoenix) makes plans to enter the forbidden woods but his bold move threatens to forever change the future of the village…
