Push with your back foot, and don't be scared of the trick.

Well, if you're talking about FS shove its, I got plenty. Same goes for BS shove its. I'm assuming you're talkin about BS though...so here goes...
1) Foot placement doesn't seem to have a big effect on them (at least for me). I usually have my back foot at the very tip of the tail to get a good pop, but besides that, nothing special about the footing. I put my front foot slightly behind the front truck bolts, with my toes being somewhere near the middle of the board (sorta..I dunno, it's late, hard to describe)
2) When you go to pop, make sure you aren't scared to bring your front foot "around" to help get the spin, and make sure to pop. I see a lotta people who don't pop at all, and wonder why they don't land it. I also am assuming you want air on this..
3) In the air be sure to jump with it, and don't just stomp your feet down right away..you need to give the board a tiny bit of time to spin, then put your feet down.
It's pretty simple really...the biggest thing is to practice em. Before you know it they'll be super consistent. Good luck.

You can probably do it, you're just scared and don't realize it. Try doing it onto the grass first. You'll feel like an idiot after you learn it for not learning it earlier.

If you didn't already, try to learn 180's. They can be learned in a day. Then go to kickflips.

uhh...180's....then bigspins...if you feel like it kickflips but most people should get some more tricks under there belts for kickflips cause they take a while to learn. Then you learn em and its cool.
