hey guys this is my first post on here.. i am a complete newb when it comes to boarding.. i have been working on my ollie for about 2 months or so.. i can ollie pretty high but i wanna get higher.. i think i am going through the techniques and everything right ..but i have a theroy.. i got a element deck for christmas 2 years ago and i really never started skating till bout 3 months ago..but i rode it around and slid on the back of the board and stuff so its really scratched up and the board has no pop whatsoever.. so i just bought a blank deck... if ur board doen't have pop tht would be a problem with ollieing right?? well i am getting better and what would u guys suggest on the next trick learning after i can ollie pretty good.. thanks again guys

Welcome to RR...Yes pop deffinatly would limit your ollies....Umm as far as next trick, I say Pop Shuv it or a Kick or Heel Flip.

OK here goes...Feet in ollie POsition, wind your body to your right if your regular footed vise versa if goofy, Ollie unwind shoulders and hips forcing your body to spin and dragging the board with you....Use the search feature in the top right of the forum to look for similar trick questions.

If you can jump and spin around at the same time yeah i think you can 180 just ollie and turn half a circle you will turn out switch after the tick is done but if you can ollie i think you should be fairly good at switch.

Ok after you got the ollie and the frontside 180 down, you could work on your shove-it a bit or a backside 180. That one looks really cool, I don't think you should start with learning the kickflip or heelflip. Since they're tough to learn and are really de-motivat-ing(word??) if you can't do them at first.

well a 180 pop shuv it would be a good trick because it doesnt require too much timing. u just have to make sure u land on the board and make sure it spins a 180. i usually land it like 160 or something but thats ok once u feel comfertable u can do a 360 pop shuv it or something. personally i think spin tricks are easier than flip tricks but thats just my opinion

I'd go with and 180 ollie. It's simpler than a kickflip.
