ive seen people do pop shuvits where the board doesnt get infront of them at all; its perfectly under them.

.....no usually it goes a bit infront of em.i can do a damn good pop shuvit..it is like a 180 for your board. yes sometimes a new deck will help..but one of the biggest things if shoes and griptape

Fro more height on your Ollie, pop your tail harder and bring your legs up to your chest, or at least try, you'll get the hang of it...For shuv its try Backsides first most poeple find them easier, that involves pulling the board in towards you(heal side) instead of kicking out.

dont woory if you can only just ollie a deck, my mate has been skating 6months, and he just learned to ollie a deck. just take skating slowly to begin with, and have fun

I don't have a really high ollie (1 and a half decks) but I have a "Strong" ollie.

A strong ollie is like its very solid and looks really natural unlike a flimsy ollie which looks like its going all over the place.

In my opnion its more important have a strong ollie. Height will come later.

I have a strong high ollie. Woo hoo. I can ollie a 5 gallon bucket consistanly.

Pop shuvits arent really hard. Just kinda pop like an ollie and shove/slide your back foot behind you. Try to keep your front foot in ollie position though. If you just have confidence it will be reallly easy.

try to let your board go as vertical as possible before tryin to level it out, it takes a bit of practice to get it good though because sometimes it looks all over the place.

for pop shuv its, put your big toe in the corner of the tail and pop the board, but not as hard as for an ollie. your front foot is only used to catch the board when it comes around.

ps. the pop shuv it tip from sidewalk, a british skate mag

the problem i have with shuvs is only 1 foot lands but you know you can(your just scared) jump high and force yourself!i was screaming at my self because i was trying to force myself(it works)

and for ythe ollies practise i have a just above knee high strong ollie.

it took me about 1month and 1/2 to lean to ollie about 5-10 inches, and iam currently trying to ollie higher, pop shuv-its(it isnt as difficult as trying to learn ollies for me) and kickflips. But the only way all of us will get better is if we practice. (Unless if your some alien that has some gravity technology crap cause u can get the hell out of doing tricks.)
