OK whenever I try to heelflip while standing still the board goes way in front of me, and when I try them moving I land to the side of the board. Anyone have tips on staying above the board? ALso, when I try to kickflip like.. it doesn't flip it just stays flat and flys in front of me, sometimes it does half a flip and I have to like jump away from it or it will hit my shin, which hurts, because I tried to not jump away and it gave be a big ole bruise. 1 last thing, when i try a backside popshovit, I can't seem to kick it back and get my front foot off the board, feels really weird. Need help bad!!! :(

Ok for the Heel Flip, I'm still noot good at them but I think I can help, its more of a downward push with yuor front foot as opposed a Flip, its easier to jump straight up and stay above your board that way...The Kick Flip make sure only your toes are on the deck and kick out hard with your front foot right near the front bolts.

When i do my heels i put my foot like just behind the bolt and do like a square..well like go forward(towards nose) and then out(towards edge) it makes the flip cleaner for some reason. Also actually use ur heel not ur whole foot.
For the kickflip dont kick it flick it. All it takes is a fast flick of your foot.

When I do the kickflip I can't seem to flick it, just kick it then jump back out of its way. and if I have just my toes on the board, I can't ollie as high. When I push down with my heel when trying to heelflip the board hits the back of my foot and just falls...

you're lucky your heelflips go infront of you instead of behind you. it sucks a lot more when it goes behind you. im not sure what u should do but try jumping forward and looking down and lanidng on it. for kickflip, u have to flick the board, and for shuvits, it's bound to feel weird. you just have to get used to it.

I suggest that you just chill and stick at one trick to learn that one well. I learned the heelflip first and the kickflip later, somewhat 6 months later. Keep practicing one trick so you will progress better otherwise you got the risk to mess things up. And that's not what we want right ?
Thanks a lot.

When you flip the board try to slide then flip and keep your leg kinda in a side kick form to let your board spin and land it.
