kickflip!!

well my friend jordie and me go to the skate park about everyday and he tries to teach me to do a kickflip but....i can flip it really fast but i cant catch the board. i can grind and everything but the only thing i have trouble on is just catching the board so...if you guys can help me that will be cool thanks :)
