Just find a nice flat, smooth area.... e.g car park. School yard. And just practice learning to push on a board is just something that you get with practise should only take a day or two to learn how to ''ride'' a board but it takes forever to master.

Ok, you can take a rope, or twine or whatever, and connect it from one end of something to another end. Then, you can practice pushing off and crap, and just get off it when you want to do without it. baby steps, remember that.

just remember, keep your feet on the bolts of both trucks, stay centered over your board and lean a tad forward - Its always better to fall infront of you than behind you.

how do you steer and get ready for quick ollies with both feet over the bolts? One foot under the bolts the other on the tail.

Actually no, I'd say don't go to a skatepark to learn how to push, you'll most likely end up being yelled at or w/e if its that kind of crowd which there usually is. skatepark isn't the place to learn to push, just gonna get in the way and make people mad, learn it at yoour own house and master it there, then take it to the skatepark yo!
