Try keeping your weight back abit. It sounds like your weight is too far forward, so you're just going onto the ledge, and then stopping because your momentum, and weight it balanced on the front truck.. Making a slide impossible.

You have to lean back and wax your shit. Basic info though.

i learnt to lock crooks in today, if your locking them in good i reckon wax will give you the slide, or maybe your leaning over your nose, just stand more upright, not necesarily lean back further.
hopefully this will help.

Actually, do you put the nose down when you try your crooks? A lot of times the nose being pushed down stops the slide. Lean back a bit and take the extra weight keeping the nose down off the nose and only allow your front truck to grind.

crookeds do involve pushing the nose down, but when done correctly, the angle is great enough to allow for a slide. it is around 45 degrees, between a nosegrind and a nose slide.

I'm pteey sure k-Grind is just an abbreviation for Krooked Grind not a diffrent trick.

What evil said. Anyway, a lot of pros do crooks and overcrooks without putting the nose against the obstacle to prevent themselves from falling, and that's how I learned my crooks, because I had the problem of pushing the nose against the obstacle and it would stop me.
